Portrait of a Writer

A portrait of myself as a writer would be a more abstract type of artwork. Usually, I don't exactly plan what or how I am going to write unless an outline is required. This allows for me to pull from every place in my mind and to draw different points and ideas in the moment. I am a writer who uses many colors on her pallet. I don't stick to writing about one or two different subjects. I write about anything and everything that passes through my day. I am a writer who uses varying medias. I like to write in poems, essays, blog posts, and many more styles of writing. I am a writer who gets off track. I like to travel on my thoughts as I am scribbling on a piece of paper or typing on my Macbook, running to more ideas. Unfortunately, this is not always a good thing as I often have to reread what I previously wrote.

A portrait of myself as a writer would have a very clear focus on the canvas. It would show a girl who also has a focus and a determination in her eyes. The art would show a laptop staring brightly into her face and letters appearing rapidly on the screen as seconds go by. The painting would show a dark and gritty pencil work resembling the focus she has on her work. She would also be enclosed by a circle of bright colors representing the many ideas and thoughts blooming from her. There would be no clocks in this work of art because time doesn't matter as she has no limit to long or short of her success. Lastly, this artwork would have a signature because everything piece of writing she creates is original and designed for her.
